LET'S ELECT LEADERSHIP THAT WILL MOVE DISTRICT ONE FORWARD!

I. Smart & Intentional Growth
- Growth is coming and we need to ensure that we have the right growth developing in our community.
- We need to ensure that the infrastructure is in place to support smart growth (sewage, power, garbage and recycling services, etc.) so we do not burden our system that is in place now.
- Ensuring that the tax incentives that continue to be offered to businesses becoming established in the community do not place the burden of supporting the county on the taxpayers as a result.

II. Taxes
- Use the taxes collected in a way that best reflects the growth and needs of our communities.
- No new taxes when we are not being responsible with the funds currently in our care.
- Ensuring that the tax digest reflects the smart growth across our county and that businesses carry their share of the support of Newton County.

III. Community Services
- Ensuring that there are sufficient public services available for the population and size of our district. We need adequate fire, EMS and police services just as any other district of Newton County does!
- Establishing a community center/senior center for all of District One to enjoy.
- Working with regional and state services to establish a Regional Transit Authority. District One is a food desert and so many have  to accept not being able to easily access grocery stores, doctors and other services that others take for granted.

IV. No Child Hungry
Work with local farmers, restaurants, grocery stores and industrial businesses to ensure that no child goes to bed hungry. With the vast amount of resources available in Newton County and the amount of food that is thrown away each day, a coalition of community support could remedy this problem without having to have any burden on the taxpayer.
